Hi Nicky
Thank you firstly for joining us for the fist time!
I have to say the sentiment lets our card down a little. The teddy and the flower would work all on his own really, maybe if the flower was coloured in yellow to resemble a daffodil it would have needed no sentiment.
If you needed to add the sentiment it would have worked better straight onto the card base, albeit a little jiggling with placement
Well done though Nicky
Do hope you will join us again

Well done Nicky on trying a clean and simple card. This style does take a little getting used to, I agree with Mandi your flower would have worked better in yellow and maybe if you coloured your teddy a little lighter. If your printer won't take card to allow you to print a sentiment directly on to it an small sentiment stamped on would have worked well. Don't give up though I am no expert at it and learn every day from the others on this challenge blog xxx
Hi Nicky
The image on your card is so cute and nicely coloured. I would have done the flower in a brighter colour.
However, I the sentiment is more of a verse and I would tend to have something of this length on the inside of the card. A simple message of thanks, perhaps along the bottom of the card.
The great thing with doing PC generated text is that you can play and print to check it all out.
I do hope this helps!! Deborah
I love the little bear stamp, but I too would have made the flower a little brighter.
As for the sentiment, I definitely would have put that on the inside of the card. If your printer won't handle heavier cardstock, you can always print on heavier weight copy paper and cut it about 1/2 inch smaller than the inside of the card and attach it to the inside with some glue dots.
These one layer cards take a bit of getting use to, but for your first try, I think you've done fine. It will all get easier as you go along. Hugs!! Susan
Hi Nicky,
Welcome to "Less is More" I'm so glad you decided to join us. Clean and Simple cards take a bit of practice before you can become completely at ease with the style.
I must agree with what the others have said, your sentiment on the front should be much smaller and less 'wordy' in order not to detract from the image. Merely 'Thank You' on the front would have sufficed.
We'd love to see another version, if you take the advice from some seasoned CAS cardmakers, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the result. Do keep at it!

Sweet bear image, and I agree about the length of the text - it maybe didn't need the mat behind it, or inside the card for full effect. I struggle with the computer generated thing, my printer is quite old and doesnt like thickish card. xx
Hi Nicky, First well done for making your first CAS card... they are quite difficult aren't they! I am having to learn what looks right and what doesn't as I am used to adding lots of papers and flowers. I think like the other people here that you could have made that a lovely verse for the inside of the card and maybe just put "To Mum with Love" on the front or Thank You Mum.You could print your verse out on ordinary paper and then matt it onto coloured card for the insert
hugs mau xx
